Got almond milk? If it’s your go-to non-dairy beverage, carton after carton may be guzzled down by your family every week. Stop the shortage by learning to  blend your own! Besides not having to run out to the supermarket to restock, you’ll save money, create less waste and can enjoy your drink as creamy, frothy, thin or thick as you’d like. Grab a bag of almonds and let’s get started!

A half cup of almonds make 1-2 servings of homemade almond milk. Click to buy organic!

Homemade Almond Milk

Serves 1-2

½ cup almonds
Filtered water for soaking
½ to ¾ cup water (depending on preferred consistency)
1 Tbsp. vanilla

1. Soak almonds in filtered water overnight in the fridge.*

2. Rinse and peel the almonds (the skins slide right off).

3. Add almonds, vanilla and water to a blender and blend on high speed until fully incorporated (add more or less liquid to achieve desired consistency).

*Morselist Tip: I reuse my nut butter jars. Of course, I wash them first. They make great eco-friendly, BPA free containers!
