Kale & Apple Green Smoothie

An apple a day…that’s the easy part. Sweet, crisp and colorful, who doesn’t love a serving of this healthy fruit, whether it’s sliced and paired with peanut butter or pressed into a sippable juice? Kale, on the other hand, might take some convincing. Even though this leafy green is loaded with powerful plant nutrition, it has a slightly bitter taste that makes it less-than-welcome on many plates. A simple solution? Combine a small bunch with a trusty apple, pineapple chunks and a serving of French Vanilla Vega One All-in-One Nutritional Shake to make a green smoothie that goes down extra-easy.

Ingredients

1 serving Vega One French Vanilla
1 cup kale (stems removed)
½ Granny Smith apple
½ cup frozen pineapple
½ fresh squeezed lemon (or 1 tsp. lemon juice)
Optional: ice

Directions

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
