Ladies, Do You Have “Man Hands”?

As a working mom, wife, business owner and celebrity trainer, I use my hands a lot! Not to mention that I love to move my own furniture, cook my own meals and never shy from grabbing the big weights when I train. Unfortunately, this leaves me with one unsightly condition: “man hands.”

Anti-aging hand cream protects and nourishesFor all my independent ladies out there pulling their own weight and wreaking havoc on their precious hands and nails, we’ve got some work to do…

First, repeat after me:  I love my hands, because…they can grip dumbbells, prepare a healthy meal for my family and rub my kids’ backs when they’re feeling sick. This is all the reason you need to show your hands and nails some love.

Second, use a deep-moisturizing cream. I’m not talking the over-scented stuff you give as housewarming gifts to all your girlfriends. No, you need Nourish Organic Raw Shea Butter Intensive Moisturizer to soothe dry, cracked skin. Because your hands have thin skin, they’re particularly prone to dryness and deserve a daily dose of deep moisture. Apply shea butter at night and wear gloves for better, faster results.

Third, protect your hands from signs of aging with antioxidants and botanical extracts. Derma e Anti-Aging Hand Creme provides a cruelty-free, paraben-free formula of green tea, aloe and olive oil. I promise it doesn’t feel heavy or oily on skin, so you can apply and reapply all day long! Don’t forget to rub into your nails and cuticles. If you really miss the fragrant hand cream, you’ll love Desert Essence Organics Coconut Hand and Body Lotion for its tropical scent and all-natural ingredients.

Last but certainly not least, nourish your nails with nutrients like MSM, silica and collagen.  I like to add a scoop of NeoCell Super Collagen Type 1 & 3 to my berry smoothies for easy-to-take nail, skin, joint and hair support — all in one!
