Maple-Cinnamon Pecans

  1. In medium-sized bowl, cover pecans with 1” to 2” water. Add salt. Loosely cover bowl with dishcloth; let pecans soak 4 hours. Pecans will swell up considerably. Drain and rinse pecans; pat dry.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  3. On parchment-lined baking sheet, spread pecans. Bake 5 minutes. If you did not soak your pecans, do not bake at this time.
  4. Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix together maple syrup and cinnamon.
  5. Thoroughly coat pecans in maple-cinnamon mixture. Return to oven; continue baking 10 to 15 minutes, until crisp. Let cool 10 minutes to harden further.
