Massage For Good Health

It’s probably no surprise that a relaxing massage can be beneficial to your health.  But it does a lot more than relieve stress; in fact, you may be amazed just how many benefits a great massage can deliver.

Properly executed, massage therapy can promote normal range of motion and flexibility for back muscles, hips, knees and other joints, as well as help stretch and exercise weak, tight or atrophied muscles. It can be used to support normal circulation by promoting healthy oxygen flow within the body.

But the benefits don’t end there. Massage can also release endorphins into the bloodstream that may help improve mood and alleviate minor aches and pains, including headaches. It is also sometimes used after surgery to promote healthy tissue regeneration and inflammatory response.

It’s wonderful if you can get your significant other to rub your sore shoulders or aching arches, but to fully reap the numerous benefits of a massage, you may need to turn to a professional. (Oh, darn!)
