My New Snack Obsessions

As the summer months slip away, it’s apparent that I’ve become, shall we say, relaxed about my eating habits. Weekdays filled with picnic lunches at the beach and weekends jam packed with barbecues have led to copious amounts of chips and cupcakes. With fall demanding we get back into our school-year hustle and bustle, I’ve decided it’s definitely the time to work healthier eating habits back into my routine.

Like most moms of young kids, I eat on the run a lot of the time.   Something I can grab as I’m running out the door or keep in my bag can be the difference between grouchy mommy and Bombshell mommy.

My new snack obsessions are these South Beach Diet Whipped Peanut Butter Snack Bars. With 6g of protein and only 100 calories, I can reach for them when I need to fend off that mid-afternoon slump. I feel like I’m eating something totally indulgent, but I know I’m making a healthy choice. Plus, the protein helps me feel fuller, longer. They taste so good, I have to hide them from my kids. I wish I was joking.

The harder part is conquering my serious weaknesses. I don’t know about you, but I love chocolate. It makes everything prettier and happier. Chocolate is the one thing that’s hardest for me to eliminate when I cut out all the junk from my food choices. What I’ve learned is that you CAN have chocolate, in moderation, as long as you choose wisely. How awesome is that? I’ve started keeping the South Beach Diet Dark Chocolate Covered Sunflower Seeds around the house. Another 100-calorie option that also satisfies my cravings for decadent chocolate.

The best part of all is that these products, along with many other South Beach diet products, are available for Set & Save. No need to worry about being tempted to buy junk food or fall back into bad habits, just set it, save and you’re done!
