My teenage daughter thinks I’m cool.

When my youngest, 14, told me her friend was not only reading but very much enjoying Flight of the Little Dove, a sweet historical romance, I smiled the entire day. My daughter said her friend asked, “Are you related to the author?” And when my daughter said, “Yeah, she’s my mom,” the friend replied, “That is so cool. I’m going to do my class reading report on this book. It’s one of my favorite books.”

Thanks to her friend’s endorsement, I donated the book to the middle school library and the librarian made calls to the other middle/high school librarians to put it in their libraries.–RUTH ZAVITSANOS
