Phoenix’s World

While we ate dinner last night, I couldn’t help smiling as I watched my son Phoenix, age 5. He was having the best time ever, making sounds pretending his carrots were cars and airplanes, laughing at his funny-looking kale chips and asking cheerfully how much more of his dinner he had to eat before he’d get his “danilla” ice cream.

This kid is pure joy. Pure Prana. And he doesn’t need a big fancy toy to find this joy.

Once, at Disney World, he was just as happy playing with a plastic fork (which he pretended was a space ship) as he was riding “It’s a Small World.”

Phoenix often attends meetings at our home office. He just likes to be around us and stays super quiet while we work. Yesterday, during one of those meetings, I asked him to please get a wet rag to wipe the twins’ faces (we were feeding them during the meeting).

He didn’t skip a beat, said “Sure Momma,” and came back moments later with . . . steel wool.

What I would do to live inside Phoenix’s world. For just one day.

Have the best day ever!

Namaste!
