Reaffirm Your Resolution

It’s now been almost 2 months since you made a New Year’s Resolution. No matter what you resolved to do””eat healthier, join a gym, quit smoking, spend more time with your family””now is a good time to evaluate your progress and reaffirm your commitment to this resolution.

Even moderate lifestyle changes can take a good bit of getting used to, so don’t expect to be on track 100% of the time. For example, if you’ve added plenty of fruits and vegetables to your diet, but still find yourself chowing down on chips and cookies, try taking small steps to cut back. You can use these indulgences as small rewards for making progress toward your overall goal of eating healthier.

Don’t let small setbacks keep you from moving forward. A few days of missed gym time doesn’t mean it’s time to throw in the towel. Continuously remind yourself of your overall goals, and use your mistakes as a learning tool. Discovering why you slipped up can keep you from doing it again.

Last but not least, stay positive! Even if all of your past New Year’s Resolutions have fallen by the wayside by January 15th, every year is a fresh start and a new opportunity to improve your life!
