The Other Vitamin C

I always coach my female clients to take their vitamin C first thing in the morning. It will boost your energy, make your skin radiate and support your immunity. There’s just one catch: this vitamin C doesn’t come from a glass of OJ.

Take Your Daily Dose of "Vitamin C"
It’s sunny at the top. Help protect your skin from UV rays and other free radical damage with a vitamin C serum.

The C in this vitamin stands for confidence!  When you rock a sense of self, you gain a lot of the same benefits you would from the real vitamin C.

1. Energy:  Confidence makes you feel more energetic, as if you can take on the world. I’m not suggesting your vitamin C chews are an energy supplement by any means. But when combined with other great nutrients, vitamin C can offer you a good boost. The same goes for self-esteem. A healthy body image can certainly perk you up — naturally. You’ll stand a little taller and walk in a way that says, “I got this!”

2. Immune boost: The real nutrient has long been credited for supporting immune health. The other “vitamin” C helps make you more immune to Debbie-downers and negative Nancys. Believing in yourself means having a more positive outlook. Practice positive thinking every day and you’ll soon develop a resistance to the things that try to bring you down.

3. Radiance:  Vitamin C is an antioxidant and is needed for your body to produce collagen. This is great for glowing skin, much like vitamin confidence. When your confidence levels are high, you wear a smile that makes it hard for people not to notice you. Remember: smiles are contagious, so glow on, girlfriends!
