  1. Hydrate. You should always use a facial or body moisturizer to keep your skin looking plump and healthy, but don’t forget about hydrating your skin from within. Drink plenty of water to help maintain your skin’s natural moisture levels and prevent dryness and cracking. At least six glasses of water a day should do the trick.
  2. Cleanse & Exfoliate. Your skin acts as a protective barrier for your body, preventing exposure to dirt, oils, chemicals, toxins, germs and other environmental pollutants. By washing twice a day with mild soap or cleanser, you can rid your skin of these harmful elements that can contribute to irritation, discoloration and wrinkles. Exfoliating is beneficial because it removes dead skin cells and exposes the healthiest, newest layer of skin.
  3. Protect. The sun’s damaging rays can cause a wide array of problems for your skin, including wrinkles, spots, dryness and discoloration. Always protect your skin, by staying in the shade and applying sunscreen at least 15 minutes before exposure to the sun.
  4. Eat Healthy. A balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals ensures that your skin receives the nutrients it needs to stay young and healthy. Some extraordinary foods that have been said to promote younger-looking skin include: avocados, mangos, cottage cheese and flaxseed.
  5. Exercise. Daily exercise, such as aerobics, keeps skin toned and brings much-needed oxygen to every cell in the body.
  6. Don’t Smoke. Smoking exposes your skin to harmful free radicals that can speed up the aging process, resulting in deep wrinkles, discoloration and dryness.
  7. Relax! A happy face is a younger-looking face. Stress can cause a wide range of health problems and can speed up the aging process, leading to wrinkles. Just smile and enjoy the skin you’re in.
