All of this holiday stress””and OK, the food I know I shouldn’t be eating“”has done a number on my stomach. Normally just eating clean and doing yoga keeps my belly quiet, but I have less time for om now that I have to worry about pleasing everyone and their mom!
Fortunately, I saw on TV that lemongrass tea is supposed to be a good tummy tamer, and I am happy to report that drinking a cuppa’ seems to do the trick.

As I was sitting in a meeting at work going over all of Vitacost’s upcoming winter sales, I started to feel a little nervous about getting it all done (and having time over my lunch break to run to the mall!) but as I sipped my cup (I like the brand Traditional Medicinals because it’s organic), I literally could feel my stomach unsnarling.
Tea or no tea, though, this tummy distress has got me thinking: why am I letting little things get to me? Why can’t I just inhale, exhale and let go? Worrying doesn’t make anything better!
It’s a little early for New Year’s Resolutions, but I already know what mine is: to stress less. To accept that sometimes there will be lemons. To exercise more, feed my soul before I feed my body, to enjoy my health and freedom and relationships rather than letting pettiness get in the way.
But how do I do that?? And how do you do that? Tweet me @AnitasJourney and let me know how you relax, enjoy and appreciate your life. Hey, it’s all a journey!
