You Don’t Want It, So Why Are You Attracting It?

Quote of the day:

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. “

~Winston Churchill

While living in Europe over the summer, we spent part of our time in the beautiful Alps in Switzerland, taking day trips to visit Philippe’s family and friends.

One such trip was to Lausanne, where we spent the afternoon at the home of some of his good friends. It was quite lovely, and his friends were amazing. So was the meal.

We sat for hours talking while our kiddos played joyfully in their play room. After lunch, they brought out coffee and dessert, as Europeans do after every meal. I thought I was full after lunch, but my mouth began to water when I saw the apple cake from a local bakery. I’m a huge fan of “doughy” bakery items, and my kids tease me about this quite often.

As our host placed  slices on plates, I noticed that one piece wasn’t as doughy. It was the “end piece.” And man, I didn’t want that one. I wanted a soft, doughy middle piece.

Now I know a lot about Law of Attraction and Deliberate Creation, and I write and teach about it every day, so I knew better than to think about (not) getting that non-doughy end piece.

But try as I might (remember to always try easy), I was thinking about it.

And you know which piece I got. I ate that non-doughy end piece and smiled as I realized the incredible power of the mind.

If my mind attracted that end piece of apple cake, what is your mind attracting right now?

Focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want. And you’re on your way to creating the best life ever.

Have the best day ever!

Namaste!
