Let’s be honest. Not everyone out there has the time or inclination to spend her days making homemade household cleaning products. And, as you know, I’m all about moderation which means not pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion in an effort to be a “Pinterest Perfect” mom. Sometimes (all the time), you want to grab a spray bottle of window cleaner and do your thing. There’s no shame in your game, Bombshell. You can have a chemical-free home without putting extra pressure on yourself.
I’d be lost without the all-natural, plant-based Clean Collection All-Purpose Cleaner. You can use it on the kitchen counter, inside of your refrigerator and on the bathroom floor. It effectively removed dirt and grime, and the orange scent erased that special aroma of wet dog and sweaty kid that always seems to be lingering in my house. I also love the fact that it gets the job done without the harsh chemicals in so many other products that burn my eyes and make my lungs hurt.
Another fabulous product in the Clean Collection is Glass Cleaner. My house was built in the early nineties, which means every room has mirrored sliding doors on the closet. Now, add in the fact that I have three kids all ten years old and younger. Right. They are constantly covered in little hand prints and finger smudges and who knows what else. The Clean Collection Glass Cleaner is my saving grace. When I used to hold my breath while spraying conventional glass cleaners, The Clean Collection Glass Cleaner is safe, non-toxic, with no artificial fragrances or dyes and leaves everything streak-free and clear.
When it comes to dishes, Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Liquid Dish Soap actually makes me enjoy my time elbow-deep in suds. My favorite scent is Lemon Verbena, but the Geranium‘s a close second. It’s amazing how a few squirts will loosen up all the caked-on quinoa on a casserole dish I forgot to wash the night before, and because the ingredients are all-natural, I don’t worry at all about all of the time I spend elbow-deep in suds, the way I would if chemicals had been involved.
The less time I have to spend dealing with toilets, the better. This is why I am so happy to delegate the dirty work again to my assistant cleaner, Mrs. Meyers, whose fabulous Clean Day Toilet Cleaner cuts the grime so that any scrubbing I do have to do is minimal. (The lavender scent is really nice and relaxing, too.)
And then there’s the laundry. Have you ever noticed that those “free and clear” conventional brands end up leaving your clothes smelling like the petroleum based products their detergent is made with? Well, I did, and so I was relived to find The Clean Collection Laundry Detergent is made with plant-based ingredients that leave your clothes clean and bright with a nice light lavender scent.
One of these days maybe I will clean using one of those beautiful DIY solutions I’ve got pinned on my Pinterest board…but for now, I am grateful I can relay on The Clean Collection and Mrs. Meyers to keep my house clean and chemical-free!
