The weather may be getting warmer, but your body probably still thinks it’s winter. As heavy coats get the heave-ho and wooly sweaters are swapped for short sleeves, you can start to transition to a lighter moisturizer that hydrates skin without the intense treatment that was needed last season. This DIY lotion – made with a simple mixture of coconut oil and aloe vera gel – is just what Mother Nature ordered for spring. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to customize the scent.

Liana’s tip:
For a mono moisturizer, use oil alone (coconut, extra-virgin olive, avocado, flaxseed, etc.), cocoa butter or aloe vera gel. Simply smooth it onto your skin and rub it in. This feeds your skin with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrients—without any fuss!
