Brownies are like a blank canvas. You can add just about any ingredient imaginable — among the most popular being nuts. Since walnuts are too been-there-done-that, we’re picking pecans. After all, they’re rich in manganese and protein while lacking the saturated fat you’d find in other favorite mix-ins.

Macros: 168 calories, 9 grams of carbs and 7 grams protein per brownie (when you divide the batch into 20 rectangles)
Ingredients
4 scoops chocolate protein powder
1 1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 cup pecans, crushed
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together until well blended.
- Pour brownie batter into a greased 13″ x 9″ baking dish.
- Top with more pecans and bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes, or until it passes the toothpick test.
