Chocolate is calling. Yet not matter how strong and loud the craving, turning on the oven is too much trouble. Running to the store for a quick fix is even more of a hassle. What you need is a dessert that’s all bark and no bite. No baking, no flour-covered clothes and no fancy ingredients.

Most likely, you have these fit-pantry essentials on hand. If not, this protein almond bark is one of the best reasons to stock up…like now.

Dark Chocolate Almond Bark

Ingredients

4 scoops NLA Chocolate Éclair Her Whey
2 Tbsp. organic cacao powder
2 Tbsp. almonds, crushed
¼ cup dark chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. coconut oil
¼ cup almond milk
½ tsp. sea salt

Directions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, microwave chocolate chips and coconut oil for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth and completely melted.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, reserving some almonds and sea salt for topping. Stir well.
  4. Pour mixture onto prepared cookie sheet, using a spoon or spatula to spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle extra almonds and sea salt over top.
  6. Place in freezer to set.
  7. Cut or break apart into pieces. Take a bite of deliciousness and never look back.
