Awareness

Quote of the day:

“Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom. “

  -Buddha

I was experimenting with making protein shakes for our twin toddlers yesterday morning, using a full scoop of Jay Robb’s Egg White Protein Powder, as instructed on the package.

I tasted it and it was too sweet, so I added more Good Karma Vanilla Ricemilk and Blue Diamond Vanilla Almond Milk. Dakota and Montana tasted it and were not amused. I added even more of the milks and a pinch of Himalayan Crystal Salt.

Still they weren’t having it.

I kept telling my husband Philippe about the “new recipe” as I was creating it.

“OK, so here’s what you do. Take 16 ounces of rice and almond milk and blend it with one scoop and an eighth of a teaspoon of salt”¦no, take 20 ounces of rice and almond milk and”¦no, take 24 ounces of rice and almond milk”¦.”

On and on it went, and that blender was gettin’ mighty full.

Then Philippe said to me, “Why don’t you just put a half a scoop of the protein powder in?”

Duh.

Awareness.

Sometimes we got it. Sometimes we don’t.

Having it is a GOOD thing. Not having it, not so much.

You’ll avoid a lotta mishaps and use a lot less rice and almond milk if you’re awake and aware.

Best place to cultivate it? On your mat. I’m gettin’ on mine now.

Have the best day ever!

Namaste!
