Case in point: these banana-nut breakfast bars, featuring almond milk, almond flour and whole raw walnuts. Each square provides 7 grams of protein and only 119 calories. If that doesn’t put your mind at ease, nut-thing will.
Banana-Nut Breakfast Bars
Makes 16 bars

Ingredients
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 large banana
4 egg whites
1 1/3 cup oat flour
½ cup almond flour
1 ½ scoops banana protein powder
¼ cup xylitol
2 tsp. baking powder
½ cup walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a 9” x 9” baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine yogurt, milk, banana and egg whites and blend until completely smooth. Pour wet mixture into a large mixing bowl.
- To the bowl, add flours, protein powder, xylitol and baking powder. Stir until well combined. Fold in walnuts until incorporated.
- Spoon batter into prepared baking dish, using a spoon to smooth down.
- Bake 22-26 minutes, or until sides turn golden brown. Slice into 16 even squares and serve immediately.
