You’ve finished a tough training day and now it’s time to refuel. But you’re tired of that standby smoothie. What do you do? Just beet it. The ruby red vegetable provides nutrients your muscles need, including magnesium for muscle contraction and vitamin C for its antioxidant properties. Blend it up with your favorite, nutrient-packed berries, natural whey protein and frozen coconut milk to quell that sweet tooth. If you’ve never had a good post-workout beet-ing, get to it!

Ingredients

1 scoop Designer Protein Natural 100% Whey Protein in French Vanilla
3/4 cup frozen mixed berries
1 small red beet, peeled
1 nub fresh ginger
6 oz. unsweetened almond milk
2 oz. frozen coconut milk
4 ice cubes

Directions

  1. In a blender, add all ingredients and process until smooth.
  2. Top with chia seeds, bee pollen, hemp seeds, coconut flakes or more berries!
