Stay in tonight. A restaurant-quality steak can be served up from your very own kitchen. It’ll be juicy, it’ll be savory and it’ll even be a little sweet. The dynamic flavor is thanks to a thoughtful marinade made from fresh blackberries and garden-favorite spices, like basil and rosemary. Yes, perfection requires some hands-on time, but you can stay in your PJs and save the tip money. Now, where’s your chef’s hat?

Blackberry-Honey Marinade for Steak

Ingredients

6 oz. fresh blackberries
½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
½ cup raw honey
1/3 cup liquid aminos
1 Tbsp. lime juice
3 cloves garlic
6 sprigs fresh thyme
¼ cup fresh basil
2 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. white pepper
1/3 tsp. dried rosemary

Directions

  1. In a medium pot over high heat, bring all ingredients to a boil.
  2. Use the back of a wooden spoon to mash berries and incorporate into sauce.
  3. Remove from heat and strain into food processor to ensure it’s entirely liquid.
  4. Coat steak with marinade and refrigerate meat for 1-4 hours. Cook steak as desired.
