Cacao & Chia Truffles

Superfoods make super desserts. Take cacao—you get mega-rich flavor, natural plant antioxidants and none of the junk that comes with processed and dairy-loaded chocolate. Chia seeds add texture and a tiny bit of crunch, with a whole lot of protein and good-for-you omega fats. The list goes on and on. But why waste time reading? You’ve got healthy truffles to make!

Recipe: Cacao & Chia Truffles

Cacao & Chia Truffles


2 Tbsp. maple syrup
2 Tbsp. cacao powder
2 Tbsp. almond butter
2 Tbsp. chia seeds
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup coconut flour


  1. In large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until combined.
  2. On a plate, spread cacao powder.
  3. Scoop out a spoonful of the mixture and roll it into a ball with your hands.
  4. Roll the ball in the cacao powder and repeat until all of the mixture is gone.
