Smoothies for breakfast? Sure, they’re great on the go, but not all early meals are eaten when you’re hustling and bustling. Smoothie bowls are perfect for easy mornings with a few minutes to spare. Though they come together as quickly as the grab-and-go beverage, you’ll enjoy the frothy goodness with a spoon instead of a straw. This recipe, made in less than 10 minutes, is packed with over 30 superfoods and has 30 grams of protein in each serving. If you’re short on time in early hours of the day, whip up this bowl as an after-dinner dessert or post-workout snack.

Chocolate-Almond Butter Superfood Smoothie Bowls

Serves 2



1-2/3 cup almond milk
2 scoops of Nutiva Chocolate Plant Protein Powder
2 Tbsp. Jem Raw Almond Butter with Maca and Cinnamon
2 tsp. cacao powder
1 tsp. Redmond Bentonite Clay
2 frozen bananas
1 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey (or 2 dates)


2 Tbsp. chopped almonds
2 Tbsp. sliced TigerNuts
2 tsp. cacao nibs
½ cup fresh blueberries


  1. In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients and process until smooth.
  2. Pour smoothie into two bowls and add toppings.
