Chocolate-Frosted Peanut Butter Cup Brownies

Take the classic candy and turn it into brownies. Not just any brownies, but irresistible peanut butter brownies frosted with chocolate icing. Bonus? This dessert is totally healthy and packed with muscle-building protein. Enjoy them with a glass of almond milk or on their own. There’s no wrong way to enjoy these delicious brownies.

Chocolate-Frosted Peanut Butter Cup Brownies

Ingredients

Brownies

10 Quest Peanut Butter Cups (5 packages)
½ cup Vitacost Peanut Butter Slim Powdered with Chocolate
1 scoop Quest Peanut Butter Protein Powder
15 oz. canned garbanzo beans, drained
¼ cup Swerve Granular Sweetener
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
¼ cup Sweet Spreads Chocolate Brownie Coconutter, melted
6 oz. 0% Fage Greek Yogurt
2 jumbo eggs
1/8 tsp. vanilla extract

Frosting

½ scoop Quest Chocolate Milkshake Protein Powder
¼ cup Vitacost Cocoa Powder
¼ cup Swerve Confectioners Style Sweetener
2 Tbsp. Walden Farms Chocolate Syrup
6 oz. 0% Fage Yogurt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Spray an 8×8 baking pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a high-speed blender, combine all brownie ingredients, except the peanut butter cups. Process until smooth.
  3. Pour a thin layer of batter into the prepared pan, just enough to cover the bottom. Place 9 of the peanut butter cups on top of the batter, in 3 rows. Pour remaining batter into pan.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the frosting. In the blender, process all frosting ingredients until smooth.
  6. Break the last peanut butter cup into small crumbles.
  7. Remove brownies from oven and let cool completely. Frost with chocolate frosting and peanut butter cup crumbles.
