To make an extra creamy, plant-based smoothie, you probably throw a couple of frozen bananas into the blender along with your other ingredients. But with that smooth texture comes a load of sugar and sweetness. For a low-sugar alternative, add frozen cauliflower and cut back on the bananas. The vegetable’s mild taste won’t overpower the flavor, but its nutritional profile will give your beverage a powerful health boost while adding a thick, creamy texture. Is cauliflower the new, healthier banana? We think so!
