Don’t be a fool. Just because these dessert-anytime treats aren’t loaded with raisins and flat like a “normal” oatmeal cookie doesn’t mean they aren’t as good as Grandma’s recipe. Plus, you can always add raisins and shape the dough into mini-frisbees before baking.

I’m pretty sure the definition of “homestyle baking” is owning the fact that it’s your home and your style. Get creative in the kitchen by using your favorite protein powder, omitting the protein completely or swapping the almond flour for oat flour. Kick it up a notch by blending raw oats and making your own oat flour. Bam!
Cinnamon Oatmeal Protein Cookies
1 cup old fashioned oats
½ cup almond flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 egg
2/3 cup honey
1 scoop protein powder
Directions
- Prepare a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
- Roll dough into balls and place on sheet, about an inch apart.
- Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookie balls turn golden. If you want them to be chewy, bake for a little less time.
