Cinnamon Spiced Mocha

Tired of filling your mug with the same ol’ caffeinated beverage? Whether you take your coffee black or with cream, in the morning when you’re heading to work or after dinner, sticking with the same brew time after time can get a little boring. Spice things up by enjoying a café mocha. Besides rich cocoa, this warming drink is also spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Top it all off with a dollop of whipped coconut cream and let your regular coffee experience become almost heavenly.

Serves 1


2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla macadamia milk, heated
1/2 cup extra strong brewed coffee
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg, or to taste
1/8 tsp. allspice
Whipped Coconut Cream, to top
Pinch of stevia, optional


  1. In a large mug, mix brewed coffee and cocoa until thick.
  2. Add spices and heated milk. Stir or froth well.
  3. Top with Whipped Coconut Cream and a pinch of stevia, if desired.

Mo’s note: Prefer instant? Instead of brewed coffee, feel free to sub in 1 Tbsp. boiling water with a heaping spoonful of instant espresso.
