Deviled Eggs with Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese

Whoever decided to dress up hardboiled eggs and serve them to guests knew what they were doing. Deviled eggs are now, and forever, a party staple. And although there’s nothing wrong with the traditional recipe, it could definitely use an update! Whether you’re hosting brunch, a family picnic or a friendly dinner, this smoked-salmon-and-cream-cheese-stuffed eggs appetizer will definitely win your attendees over! Plate these beauties atop a bed of fresh greens and sprinkle with chopped radishes, celery or cucumber.

Ingredients

12 eggs, hard boiled, peeled and halved lengthwise
6 oz. smoked salmon, chopped
3 oz. cream cheese
3/4 cup sour cream
3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
3 Tbsp. minced chives
1-1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. dried garlic
3/4 tsp. dried onion
1 tsp. poppy seeds
1-1/2 tsp. sesame seeds
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In medium bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise and lemon juice.
  2. Carefully scoop out egg yolks; set egg whites aside. Add yokes and salmon to mixture; use a fork to mash and mix until well combined.
  3. Season mixture with garlic powder, dried onion, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, salt and pepper.
  4. Once combined, spoon yolk mixture into egg white wells and top with finely chopped chives and veggies if desired.
