Maybe you’ve had an iced matcha or chai latte, but this tea smoothie has fresh fruit appeal. Light and slightly sweet peach tea is combined with raw Manuka honey, subtly nutty sunflower seed butter and superfood maca for a refreshing, nutritious drink that’s perfect with scones, or on its own!
Gourmet Peach Tea Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
12 oz. brewed organic peach tea
½ cup ice
2 Tbsp. sunflower seed butter
1 tsp. raw Manuka honey
½ tsp. maca powder
2 Tbsp. gluten free oats
Directions
- To brew tea, bring water to a boil then steep 2 tea bags in 12 ounces (1-½ cups) water. Chill in fridge overnight or for several hours.
- In blender, combine chilled tea, ice, sunflower seed butter, Manuka honey, maca and oats.
- Blend 1 to 2 minutes, until smooth.
