Grain-Free Paleo Pizza Crust

Having a hard time kicking pesky pizza cravings since going paleo or gluten-free? Instead of silently suffering and missing out on the ultimate comfort food, make your own pizza pie with this grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free flour. Spread tomato sauce or hempseed pesto on this nut- and root-based crust, or mix things up and opt for a creamy chipotle sauce, and pile on your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

1-1/4 cups Bob’s Red Mill Paleo Baking Flour
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. oil
2 Tbsp. water
2 eggs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix dry ingredients. In a large bowl, mix oil, water and eggs. Mix in dry ingredients. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Using two pieces of lightly oiled parchment paper, roll out dough and shape into a 10-inch round pizza. Place on a large baking sheet or pizza stone. Remove top sheet of parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 7 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven. Add toppings and bake for another 5-7 minutes.

Note: If a crispy crust is desired, bake at 400 degrees F for the last 5 minutes.
