Have you ever accomplished something and thought, “That was good, but not my best”? Vitacost Health Raiser of the Week, Ashley, already had a well-established lifestyle. Her nutrition was on point and activity level was tiptop! Funny enough, though, Ashley still wasn’t the best version of herself.

One of Ashley’s favorite foods is dried mulberries, which are great for snacking, mixing into yogurt or as a dessert topping.

 

What does health mean to you?

Health means feeling your best inside and out and knowing that you are constantly taking care of your beautiful body!

What inspired you to start living a healthy life?

I have always been interested in nutrition. Once I came across the raw-vegan lifestyle, I was ready to make a change and become my best self. This opened up a whole new world!

What are three things you do to stay healthy?

The top three things I do to stay healthy are: staying hydrated, being active and getting enough rest.

 What is one motivational quote that you live by?

“If you don’t take care of your body, where will you live?” I think this was paraphrased from Jim Rohn’s famous quote.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what Vitacost product could you not live without?

Dried mulberries – they’re so delicious and full of great nutrients, like vitamin C and iron!

What advice do you have for someone who is trying to live healthier? 

When I began my new healthy lifestyle, I had to envision what I was hoping to achieve in the long term. Setting goals and then making sure you have a support system of friends and family is most important when you’re first starting out.
