You can’t do anything about the weather. It could be your wedding day or the day you finally have the guts to take on Mt. Everest. But Mother Nature isn’t keeping track. So if you wake up to a dense coat of fog, do what any savvy Londoner would do – snuggle up to it! London fog tea is a frothy drink that will make any forecast feel warm and bright. And if it’s any consolation, this recipe calls for crystallized honey sea salt to prove nature does, in fact, have a sweet side.
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 sachet Earl Grey tea (can also use loose leaf tea)
1/2 cup whole milk or milk substitute
2 tsp. Gustus Vitae Crystallized Honey Sea Salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
- Bring 1-1/2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, pour into a large mug. Add tea bag and let steep 5 minutes.
- While steeping, add milk, crystallized honey sea salt and vanilla to a small saucepan and set stovetop to medium heat. Whisk as the mixture heats up. DO NOT let it come to a boil.
- Remove tea from mug and slowly pour frothy milk mixture into mug.
- Serve while still steaming.
