Good morning! Along with your overnight oats or gluten-free pancakes, you’ll need a go-to beverage to make those early hours a little easier to handle. Not a fan of coffee? We have just the drink for you! Enter the Maca Dandelion Latte. We could technically call this a double-maca dandelion beverage because it’s a combination of maca, macadamia nut milk and dandelion tea, but since you could easily sub in any nut milk you prefer, we’ll stick to the single “maca” for now. So, whether you add frothy macadamia milk, hemp milk or almond milk, drink this delightful pick-me-up and enjoy the beautiful day.
Ingredients
1 bag Vitacost Dandy Roast Dandelion Herbal Tea
2 tsp. maca powder
1/2 cup macadamia nut milk
1 Tbsp. extra virgin unrefined coconut oil
Directions
- In kettle, boil water.
- In mug, combine about 1 tablespoon boiling water with maca and mix into a paste. Add more water and steep tea bag. (Careful to leave enough room in mug for milk.)
- In small pan, heat milk and, if desired, froth it with a frother.
- Add milk to mug and stir in coconut oil.
Mo’s note: Prefer cold beverages? Serve this one over ice for a chilly treat.
