Magnesium Drink: Warm & Calming Cranberry-Apple Cider

Stressed out? Set a saucepan on the stove, simmer some simple ingredients and sip your way to a calmer day with a mugful of this magnesium-spiked cider. Also rich in immune-supporting vitamin C from cranberries and digestion-soothing nutrients from ginger, it’s the drink you need to replenish, refresh and melt away angst.

Ingredients

2 cups 100% (no sugar added) apple juice
2 cups 100% (no sugar added) cranberry juice
2 cinnamon sticks
3 whole cloves
1-inch piece fresh ginger root, sliced
1 orange, sliced
2 Tbsp. Raspberry-Lemon Flavor Natural Calm 
½ cup warm water

Directions

  1. In small saucepan, combine apple juice, cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger root and orange slices (reserving a few for garnishes if desired).
  2. Bring mixture to a boil, then lower heat and let simmer for 20 minutes. Strain.
  3. In a glass, add Natural Calm powder, then add warm water. Let it fizz, then stir until dissolved.
  4. Stir mixture into the cider and serve warm.
