Might As Well Face It, You’re Addicted to Balm

Quote of the day:

“Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first — not through intellectual understanding.”

Christiane Northrup

My name is Taylor and I’m an addict.

I’m addicted to lip balm.

And it just hit me””I gotta go cold turkey. The Universe has been sending me signs for a while, but I didn’t listen.   If I didn’t have lip balm in my pocket, I’d feel a moment of panic. When I went to buy some yesterday, the store didn’t have any. Well, they had some, but not “my” flavor.

And just now, as I was writing and reached into my drawer to grab some to slather on my dry lips, I realized, I have to quit. My body needs to remember how to moisten its lips on its own. And I gotta amp up my omega-3s.

So, off I go to Vitacost.com to order some flax seeds, and use deliberate creation and the focus of my mind to distract myself from the dry, crackly, uncomfortable feeling on my lips.

What’s your body telling you that you’re not listening to?

Have the best day ever!

Namaste!
