Oat Snack Balls with Cacao & Dates

From a savory bowl of oatmeal or an on-the-go breakfast bar to a veggie-filled wrap at lunch to zucchini noodles with pesto in the evening, you probably eat a variety of different and delicious foods every day. But, no matter how appetizing those meals were, it’s these cacao-packed, coconut-dusted snack balls that you’ll remember when your head hits the pillow at night. They come together so quickly and taste amazing! You’ll love them when you’re feeling sluggish or your sweet tooth strikes.

Oat Snack Balls with Cacao & Dates

Ingredients

¾ cups oat flour
¼ cup cacao powder
6-8 dates, soaked for 1-2 hours or up to overnight
2 Tbsp. coconut palm sugar

Toppings

Hemp seeds
Shredded coconut

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mixture will be crumbly, but if it’s not binding together, add a tiny splash of the water the dates were soaked in.
  2. Knead dough a separate into 8 equal pieces. Roll pieces into balls.
  3. Place hemp seeds and coconut into a shallow dish. Roll balls into toppings to evenly coat.
  4. Store balls in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. If keeping longer than 1-2 weeks, move to freezer.
