When the days start getting longer and the thermometer begins to reach its breaking point, sometimes you just need to slow down and take a sip of something cool. Here in the South where I live now, that means reaching for a tall glass of iced tea – but those pre-made powder packets I used as a kid? Absolutely out of the question! This version, made with green and ginger teas, is refreshingly easy to brew and is the perfect way to quench your thirst on a sweltering summer day.
Ingredients
2 bags organic green tea
2 bags organic ginger tea
6 cups ice
1 lemon, sliced
1 lemon, juiced
2 Tbsp. organic maple syrup, optional
Directions
- Boil 3 cups of water in a tea kettle.
- Steep 2 bags of green tea and 2 bags of ginger tea in 3 cups of water for 1 hour.
