Did you know peanut butter cookies originated in the United States? Like most American classics, this cookie is kept simple and aims to please in the most comforting way. By comforting, I mean naturally sweetened and 100% savory, thanks to raw honey and flavorful oat flour. Before throwing in the oven, create the tried and true crisscross pattern for Old Glory’s sake.

PB Protein Cookies

½ cup oat flour
2 scoops peanut butter protein powder
1/3 cup honey
1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 egg white

  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Spoon cookie batter onto a greased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  3. Using a fork, press down on the batter to form crisscross pattern.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes, or until crisp and beginning to turn golden.
