Still not sure which fats are good and which are bad? Or how much of each you can eat?
Wellness Times editor Karolyn Gazella and Dr. Herb Joiner-Bey team up in this week’s podcast to tackle this hot topic.
According to Dr. Joiner-Bey, when it comes to fat intake, the key is balance.
He recommends reducing your intake of omega-6 fatty acids from vegetable oils, meats from grain-fed animals and margarine. (Avoid anything with partially hydrogenated oil on the label.)
At the same time, he advocates increasing your consumption of omega-3 essential fatty acids, from sources such as flaxseed oil, fish oil and chia seeds.
