Protein-Packed Pecan Pie

Some traditions are meant to be broken. That’s certainly true when it comes to desserts. Your healthy diet deserves occasional indulgences, but classics, like pecan pie, are just too forbidden. Forgo the usual corn-syrup-laden pie recipe and make this modern, protein-packed version instead. One slice sets you back less than 300 calories and offers almost 10 grams of protein. With macros like these, pecan pie can go back on your approved food list. Healthy desserts can be your new tradition.

Serves 8
Macros per serving: 280 calories | 2.8 g net carbs | 9.5 g protien


2 Quest Cinnamon Roll Protein Bars
½ cup Swerve Granular Erythritol
Dash salt
Dash cinnamon
¼ cup Sweet Spreads Maple Pancake Coconutter, melted
2 jumbo eggs, beaten
Dash vanilla
1-1/3 cup pecan halves
Whipped topping, to garnish, if desired


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9-inch pie pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Microwave Quest bars for 15-20 seconds. Pat them into the prepared pie pan, covering the entire bottom and about a centimeter up the sides.
  3. In a large bowl, combine erythritol, salt, cinnamon, coconutter, beaten eggs and vanilla. Pour onto of Quest bar crust.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, and top with pecan halves and whipped topping, if desired.
