Walk around any sports arena, and there’s always one vendor that catches your nose. Roasted nuts have something no one else is selling: a multi-talented flavor sensation of sweet, smoky and salty. Using coconut oil and pumpkin pie spice instead of salt or sugar, these homemade roasted almonds hit all those same highlights. Now you can take your own healthy snack out to the ball game.
Ingredients
2 cups almonds
1 Tbsp. honey
½ Tbsp. coconut oil
1 Tsp. pumpkin pie spice
Directions
- In a medium bowl, microwave coconut oil and honey until melted.
- Stir in almonds to coat.
- Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice, so all nuts are perfectly seasoned.
- Spread nuts on a greased baking sheet and bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
- Stir nuts around to prevent sticking and bake an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm or let them harden a bit – your call. Enjoy!
