Ho-hum hummus is the dip of yesteryear. Now you can find the traditional recipe infused with everything from soybeans to spinach and artichokes. Mixing in a healthy heaping of Greek yogurt doesn’t seem so strange these days, does it? Add a little spice and citrus tang, and you’ve got a creamy bowl that’s sure to make your crudités green with envy.
Spicy Yogurt Hummus
Makes 5 cups
Macros per tablespoon: 40 calories | 3 g net carbs | 2 g protein
Ingredients
2 cans (15 oz.) Vitacost Organic Garbanzo Beans, drained
¼ cup Vitacost Organic Unsalted Sesame Tahini
6 oz. plain Greek yogurt
½ cup lime juice
¼ cup onion, diced
2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp. sriracha
1 Tbsp. jarred chopped garlic
Salt to taste
Directions: Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth. (Store leftovers in the fridge.)
