“Spirulina is rich in chlorophyll, minerals, and vitamins, is a great source of protein”¦. The ancient Aztecs called spirulina the ‘sacred power plant,’ and believed it was endowed with the energy of the sun and had remarkable energizing and rejuvenating properties.”

I love Earthrise Spirulina Natural. I eat it every day, in both powder and pill form. I eat the tablets by the spoonful with a little bit of raw coconut crystals (Coconut Secret brand) and OMG is it good. I eat the powder in a bowl mixed up with some cold filtered water and some raw coconut crystals and Himalayan crystal salt sprinkled in–by the spoonful as well. The consistency is thick and a bit powdery or “cakey,” not wet and gummy. I’ve perfected it! When it’s too wet, it tastes weird.
“Wait a minute!” you’re sayin’. “That’s the grossest thing I’ve ever heard, Taylor! I can barely choke down those tablets when I swallow ’em and I put a teaspoon of the powder in my smoothie and that’s enough, Sister!”
Hey, that’s cool. Whatever works. Whatever your body tells you to do. Always listen to your body. My super- healthy yogi husband Philippe puts a few teaspoons of the powder in his smoothies or juice and swallows the tablets, and watches me in awe as a down a bowl of the stuff every morning, “Mmmmm-ing” the whole time. So it’s personal. Just get some of this magic green food into yo body every day.
Why?
It fills you but doesn’t “stuff” you. It’s a great source of protein. And for those of you concerned about carbs, no worries. Also, this just in . . . a lesser-known fact about Earthrise Spirulina Natural–the more you eat, the “tanner” you look. If you eat it regularly, your skin glows and begins to look tanner. People comment on my “tan” daily and it finally occurred to me that it’s the Spirulina. Much healthier for you than the sun or a tanning booth.
By the way, I started out swallowing the tablets and putting a teaspoon in my smoothies. And now I crave the stuff and can’t get enough.
I’m just sayin’.
Have the best day ever!
Namaste!
