Quote of the day:
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.
-Kurt Vonnegut
I was on the elliptical at the Y when I glanced up at the TV and saw an ad for Fox News:
“For INformed people.”
Hmmmm. No judgment, but what exactly does “in” mean? In what?
This is interesting to me because I have a 14-year-old daughter in middle school. Need I say more?
I talk to her pretty frequently about school and what goes on there in terms of being “in” or “popular,” and I write about a related topic””bullying. I tell my daughter that this phenomenon is super-intense in middle school (the most intense I’ve experienced so far in life), and though it dwindles, it does continue. The quest to be “in.” It just becomes less obvious.
So watch yourself today. Are you still looking for approval from others? Do you still want to be “in?” If so, I’m gonna suggest something that will shift that for you and help you create the best life ever.
A new definition of “in”: In alignment, in sync, in joy, in love, in peace. Choose one or a few or all of the preceding, and then get on your yoga mat, and have the best day ever!
Namaste!
