Vanilla-Blackberry Protein Donuts

But if you really have trouble executing restrain, these oh-so-delicious, O-shaped treats will save you like the donut in your car trunk. At only 38 calories each, you’re safe to indulge in double digits without doubling over.

Baked Blackberry Donuts Recipe

Vanilla & Blackberry Protein Donuts

Makes 18 donuts
Macros per donut: 38 calories | 3.2 g protein | 5.1 g carbs | 1.1 g fat | 0.4 g sugar | 0.6 g fiber

Ingredients

1 scoop ARO Natural Vanilla Whey Protein Plus Powder
1/3 cup whole wheat flour or oat flour
¼ cup almond flour
¼ cup Vitacost Xylitol
¾ tsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. plain Greek yogurt
3 egg whites
1/3 cup blackberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a mini donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together protein powder, flours, xylitol and baking powder until thoroughly mixed.
  3. In a food processor or blender, add Greek yogurt, egg whites and blackberries and process until smooth.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add protein powder, oat flour, almond flour, xylitol and baking powder.
  5. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients, and stir until batter is smooth and well combined.
  6. Spoon batter into donut pan and bake 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
