Vegan Chocolate-Walnut Ice Cream

4-Ingredient Vegan Chocolate-Walnut Ice Cream

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. cacao powder
2 cups walnuts
1 cup maple syrup*
2 cups water
(Optional: 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract / ½ tsp. sea salt)

*Honey can be used in place of maple syrup, but the ice cream will not be vegan.

Directions

  1. In high-speed blender or food processor, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Freeze ice cream overnight, or freeze for just a few hours until firm and blend again for extra-creamy ice cream.

Variations:

  • For extra chocolaty flavor, add more cacao powder.
  • For extra sweetness, add more maple syrup.
  • Use sunflower seeds or hemp seeds in place of walnuts.
