Frosted Pumpkin Brownies

It’s time to celebrate all things fall and pumpkin, like these delicious frosted brownies. This treat swaps classic chocolate with canned pumpkin for a dessert that’s as delicious as it is vibrantly orange. Cream cheese frosting adds the perfect ratio of tangy to the sweet pumpkin pie spice!

Ingredients
Brownies
4 Simple Truth Organic brown large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup Simple Truth Canned Pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups Simple Truth Organic Flour
1-1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Frosting
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat eggs well; add in sugar and butter and mix. Next, mix in pumpkin and vanilla, then flour and spices.
  3. In 9” X 13” greased pan, spread batter evenly. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  4. To make frosting: In small bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, vanilla and powdered sugar until just mixed; do not over mix. When brownies are cool, frost.
