Carrot Cake Smoothie

This delicious smoothie makes a perfect breakfast when you want something refreshing and subtly sweet. The cinnamon and ginger flavors are reminiscent of carrot cake, and the smoothie is light, filling and satisfying while also very nutrient dense. Carrots are one of the most nourishing vegetables out there, providing a variety of nutrients, including potassium and vitamins A, B6, C and K. Plus, hemp seeds bring in bonus omega-3s and a creamy texture. This smoothie is a sure-fire way to start your day off on a healthy note.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. raw hulled hemp seeds
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
½ tsp. ginger powder
2 medjool dates
3 medium carrots, chopped (about 1 cup)
2 ripe frozen bananas, peeled
Juice of 1 medium orange

Directions

In high-speed blender, combine all ingredients and blend until very smooth.
