Orange you glad you ate breakfast? You will be when your plate is full of these low-calorie muffins. The 22 grams of protein per serving will give you a nice zest of energy to power those first few hours of the day. A drizzle of stevia-sweetened chocolate offers an extra slice of satisfaction. Enjoy two of these orange muffins, and you’ll “peel” right up to work with a smile and a happy belly.

Ingredients

1 scoop Devotion Nutrition Angel Food Cake Protein Powder
1 packet Devotion Nutrition Italian Flex Flavors™ Almond Cookie
1 packet Devotion Nutrition Flex Flavors™ Monkey Bread
2 Tbsp. almond flour
2 Tbsp. coconut flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 cup egg whites
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1-1/2 tsp. fresh orange zest (optional)
Sugar-free chocolate chips for drizzling (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray or coconut oil. Note: If using a silicone baking pan, place on a firm baking sheet.

2. In a small bowl, add protein powder, Flex Flavors™, flours, baking powder and cinnamon. Stir to combine.

3. In a separate, larger bowl, whisk together egg and egg whites. Add orange zest and whisk until well blended.

4. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix well.

5. Quickly pour batter into prepared muffin pan and bake 15 minutes, or until cooked through. Tops of the muffins will spring back when lightly touched.

6. Let muffins cool before removing from the pan. Serve warm or store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
