Oven-Baked Haddock With Spicy Moroccan Green Pepper Sauce

Fish newbies, or anyone who aims to eat more fish but doesn’t prefer a strong taste, haddock is a good pick. Mild flavored with a tender texture and more delicate flake than other types of white fish, haddock is best known battered and deep fried in British fish and chips. Here, it’s baked, not fried, for a healthier dish with a spicy kick from Moroccan green pepper sauce.

Oven-Baked Haddock With Spicy Moroccan Green Pepper Sauce

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

2 (4-oz.) haddock (or white fish) filets
Roasted sunflower seeds
(unsalted)
Moroccan spicy green pepper sauce
Shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Arrange haddock filets on baking sheet. Use brush to coat tops with green pepper sauce.
  4. Bake fish for about 20 minutes, then sprinkle on Parmesan cheese and return to oven until cheese melts.
  5. Sprinkle on sunflower seeds.
